How do Hotteeze work?
Hotteeze are made from all natural and eco-friendly ingredients, including iron, vermiculite and water.
Once you open the packet, the filings inside the pad react with oxygen in the air to create heat – no wires or microwave required! The heat is constant and long-lasting (up to 14 hours for Hotteeze Heat Pads, 6 hours for Hotteeze For Feet, and 10 hours for Hotteeze Hand Warmers).
How do you use a Hotteeze Heat Pad?
Simply open the packet, tear off the adhesive paper and stick the Hotteeze to your clothing where you want heat! Hotteeze work best on tight cotton underclothing.
IMPORTANT: Never stick a Hotteeze Heat Pad directly on your skin.
How do you dispose of a Hotteeze?
Once the pad has fully cooled, open the pad with scissors. As the contents are biodegradable, they can be sprinkled in the garden or pot plants as a soil conditioner. The wrapping can be disposed in combustible trash.
What if I accidentally open up the Hotteeze packet?
If you accidentally open up the Hotteeze packet, quickly seal the heat pad it in an airtight plastic bag to it to stop the oxidization process.
Can I reuse the Hotteeze?
Hotteeze are single-use. However, if you want to use your Hotteeze for only a few hours one day, you can seal the heat pad in an airtight plastic bag to stop the oxidation process, and then use the rest of the hours of heat the following day.
You mentioned that you could 'sprinkle the contents in your garden'. What is in Hotteeze?
Hotteeze Heat Pads contain potassium chloride, which can also act as a soil conditioner. The other ingredients are iron powder, water andactivated carbon.
Can I use Hotteeze if I'm diabetic?
We recommend you check with your doctor before using Hotteeze Heat Pads. Some diabetics have no sensation in their extremities and cannot judge whether the heat pad is getting too hot, which could result in a low temperature burn.
Can I stick Hotteeze Heat Pads directly onto my skin?
No, Hotteeze Heat Pads (and Hotteeze For Feet) should not be stuck directly onto skin, as this may result in a burn. The Hotteeze would also likely cause your skin to sweat, making the heat pad slippery and difficult to keep on (reducing the number of hours the heat pad stays warm for).

Hotteeze Heat Pads should be stuck to clothing, or a heat pad wrap or flexible tube bandage that you can double over.
Are Hotteeze bad for the environment?
No! Hotteeze contain natural ingredients which are biodegradable, so when they’re done, you can throw them away guilt-free! The contents can be reused as a soil conditioner, which contributes to the reduction of wastes. The outer packet is combustible and does not generate toxic gases.
Can I use Hotteeze if I'm pregnant?
Do not put Hotteeze near your abdomen, and check with your doctor before using it on any other part of your body while pregnant.
What happens if my Hotteeze get wet?
If you get a Hotteeze wet, you can kiss it goodbye! The water will stop the oxidization process.
Are Hotteeze safe to travel with?
Yes! Hotteeze are completely safe to travel with, and won’t set off alarms at airport security or get picked up on x-ray machines.
Can I sleep with Hotteeze on?
No - while you are asleep, you cannot easily monitor your comfort level and could get a low-temperature burn.
